Elizabeth Stevenson is an emerging artist specializing in Visual Arts & Media . Elizabeth completed her Honours year at James Cook University in 2020, having obtained her Bachelor of Creative Industries/ Visual Arts & Media Degree at James Cook University in Cairns in 2016, and Graduating in 2017. Elizabeth has also completed Design Project Photography at the University of Applied Science, Wurzburg, Germany. Elizabeth studied Fine Art at La Trobe University (Bendigo Campus) as well as the Advanced Certificate in Art & Design at Horsham TAFE.

Living in the tropics lends itself to a wide range of diversity and inspiration, allowing Elizabeth to embrace life and all it entails; she endeavors to express all of its facets through her work. A broad mind and a sense of humor are fundamental in Elizabeth's developmental skill-set as an artist.

Objectives

As an artist, I strive hard to achieve honesty in my work, as I believe that expressing truth reflects my perceptions of my subjects and the world around me. I often use my own photographs and experiences as reference, however, I do not aim to reproduce photographic images; but rather the true essence of what it is that I am trying to express through my work.
